About A3T - AMTC2 Air Ambulance Tracker

Aircraft Position & Fleet Monitoring

A3T - AMTC2 Air Ambulance Tracker is an AMTC2 application designed to provide operational visibility of dedicated fixed-wing air ambulance fleets, including current and last-known aircraft positions, fleet status and airport proximity information.

The application is intended as a situational-awareness and fleet-monitoring tool. Aircraft position information may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable and should not be used as the sole source for flight operations, navigation, dispatch or other safety-critical decisions.

Technology & data sources

  • ADS-B aircraft position data is obtained from the open-source ADS-B community platform ADSB.lol.
  • Aircraft ICAO24 cross-check reference data is obtained from the Mictronics aircraft-database icao24plus export and is used only as an administrative reference source. Mictronics data is attributed under the Open Data Commons Attribution License (ODC-By).
  • Interactive mapping is provided using the open-source Leaflet JavaScript library.
  • Map tiles and basemap services are provided through OpenStreetMap and OpenFreeMap, depending on the map configuration selected for the customer or system.
  • Map and aircraft information is processed and presented by the AMTC2 Air Ambulance Tracker application.

ADS-B coverage is dependent on receiver availability, geography, aircraft equipment and other technical factors. A missing or stale position therefore does not necessarily indicate that an aircraft is inactive or located at its last reported position.

Cookies & privacy

A3T does not use advertising, analytics, profiling or tracking cookies. A strictly necessary session cookie is used to maintain authenticated user sessions and support application security. It is used only for operation of A3T and is not used for marketing or cross-site tracking.

Session history & retention

A3T records authenticated session lifecycle information for security, troubleshooting and system performance review. Closed session history is automatically deleted after the retention period selected by SYSTEM_ADMIN in System Configuration.

Aircraft Import

Download template, populate CSV and validate before import

1. Import Mode and Template

Select whether this file contains aircraft for one operator or multiple operators. Multiple Operators is restricted to SYSTEM_ADMIN.

Import Mode
Single Operator Multiple Operators

Use the A3T blank CSV template so column names and order match the import validator. The downloaded template automatically reflects the currently selected import mode.

2. Import Fields

The template is the authoritative CSV format. Do not add, remove or reorder columns.

Field Required Format / Rules Example
registration REQUIRED 2-20 letters, numbers or hyphens. Trimmed and normalized to uppercase. OE-GAA
icao24 OPTIONAL Exactly 6 hexadecimal characters when supplied. Blank values remain a validation warning pending reference review. 440123
icao_code OPTIONAL ICAO aircraft type code. CL35
serial_number OPTIONAL Manufacturer serial number; maximum 100 characters. 20754
base_airport_code OPTIONAL 4-character ICAO or 3-character IATA airport code. LOWI
operator_code MULTI ONLY Existing active A3T operator ICAO code. Required only for Multiple Operators mode. TYW
Do not include database IDs, customer IDs, aircraft status, timestamps or tracking flags. A3T derives controlled values from the authenticated import context and existing master data.

3. Upload & Validation

V11.9.1 is validation-only. Uploading or validating a CSV never creates or changes aircraft master data.

ICAO24 Finding Review

For Change Proposed, Apply uses the single reference ICAO24 after conflict and staleness checks. For Ambiguous findings, select one retained reference candidate first; if it matches the current ICAO24 it is confirmed without changing aircraft data, otherwise the selected ICAO24 can be applied using the same safeguards.
